One Day Tour in Yosemite

I have planned to take a tour to Yosemite, and I finally fulfilled my dream last December. So I couldn’t help expressing how much I enjoyed my tour of Yosemite on laze Sunday. Though I live in California over 20 years, I have never been there before.

As the best-known scenic spot, Yosemite National Park is actually Nature’s wonder. The park is located in the middle of the Nevada mountain range. There are huge granite rocks, great waterfalls and spectacular valleys. Moreover, those Giant trees also become good scenery of this land of fantasy. Steep cliffs and clear waters give us the plain feeling of Nature. Plenty of ice and liquid water make Yosemite a fantastic Water World.

I really need to thank my tour guide, Tony. He is very informative and tell me a lot of interesting descriptions of those scenic spots. As I can’t drive a car, so the tour guide is also my driver. He picked me up at 8 o’clock in the morning. Actually he is a professional and experienced tour guide. So he tried everything to make sure that I could have an interesting and relaxed tour. May be he knows everything in Yosemite. As he was driving car on the road, he kept on telling me about the wildlife and the phenomenal scenery on this extraordinary land. Tony even took me to a gas station, where we had an unscheduled bathroom break. May be I should call him ‘super man’.

Camping in France

Camping in France is one of the greatest experiences of my life. France has always been a popular country for camping. On the west coast is the Atlantic Ocean

My first experience in France was taking a ferry from Ireland to Normandy and driving down the coast to Brittany. That was many years ago when my three children were small. They have grown up now and range in age from 33 years to 23 years.

Some would think that was the end of family holidays together, but not for us we still often meet up on a camp site in France and spend a week or two together.

As I said we first travelled to Normandy, Brittany and then further down the coast with maybe a five or six hour drive ahead of us, with many a stop off at some small village to do some site-seeing or visit the local markets. That was all great fun, but there was a lot more of France to see than just the west coast.

We now fly to the south of France and hire a car for the rest of our holiday. The French Rivera also known as the Cote D’ Azure and has everything if you are ever thinking of camping in France. The Mediterranean Sea with its beautiful beaches right along this coast will take you into Monaco.

There are many camping sites along this coast line that will cater to your every need. You may have the Mediterranean Sea at your door step, but on the sites there are swimming pools, restaurants, bars, and take away foods, if you just want to relax at the pool all day, there is no need to leave the site.

For those who would like to explore this area more, there are many beautiful cities and villages which include, St. Tropez, Cannes, Nice and of course Monte-Carlo in Monaco.

Airbus A350 XWB Versus the Boeing 787 Dream liner

If you saw the statistics for Airbus latest family addition, the A350 XWB (extra Wide Body) passenger airplane, you would probably confuse it with the American rival, the Boeing 787 Dream liner. It will probably take the flying public years to be able to distinguish the aircraft in the air, or even when they are inside the cabin.

The Boeing 787 is made from 50 per cent carbon fiber; while the Airbus A350 is 53 per cent carbon fiber. Both will be long range and can fly in excess of 8,000 miles without refueling. In effect, flying the long thin routes, Being somewhat bigger, the A350 will have anywhere between 300-400 seats, while the Boeing 787′s biggest model will barely reach 300 seats. Both come in three different size models although the smaller version of the 787 may be dropped based on comments from Boeing.

Airbus indicates the A350 will reduce fuel consumption by 25 per cent. The Airbus is bundled as a replacement for any Boeing 747 operator due to it’s size. The Boeing 787 claims to deliver 15 per cent better fuel efficiency over the similarly-sized Boeing 767 and so it should, considering it is introduced 25 years after the Boeing 767.

The Airbus A350 has 505 orders from 32 customers while the Boeing 787 has 876 orders from 53 customers.

The A350 windows are wider; the 787′s are taller. The list continues.

When comparing the two airplanes, there are major differences between the two.

The A350 cockpit is one area that will distinguish it as a more modern airliner. The cockpit will have six large LCD displays that provide all the necessary pilot information. For comparison the A380 has 10. The A380 has been the testing bed for this new technology. These electronics in the cockpit have been found to reduce the need for the many individual circuit breakers. The circuit breakers have in the past been an issue for airliners and caused various accidents.

How to Keep Your Children

When you go on a road trip with your children, you know that this can be quite a chore. Your kids can get bored, fatigued, and even start to whine as being in a car all day makes for a very long day. Below we will discuss what you can do that will help your children from being bored on a long road trip to make things easier on you.

First of all, you should pace yourself when on these trips. Plan in some breaks and let your kids get out of the car and walk around a bit. If you can plan a stop after a few hours of driving and do something kind of fun, the kids will like the trip a lot better than just being in the car all day long.

Get some portable DVD players. These work great especially with smaller children who will enjoy their favorite movies. Get the car adapters so that you can keep it powered up. Watching movies will help pass the time for your children.

Get a laptop desk for your children. These are like a bean bag on one side while having a solid surface on the other. What is nice about these is that your kids can use them as a desk to color, draw, or do table top activities.

You might leave on a longer road trip earlier in the morning. Your children will be awake at first but gradually the lack of sleep can catch up with them causing them to sleep for part of the trip making it easier on them.

Play games in the car. There are many road trip games where you pick out items you find along the way. You can also get portable car board games that your children can play.

Get some electronic portable video games for your children to play. They will enjoy this in the car and while at the hotel as well.
